It's funny, I've always felt a distinct tension between that tangential room and the lone guard posted there - but I never realized it until now. Something about that sentry passing the day alone at the feet of those tall, esoteric canvases silently lording over the room. The way it's arranged, he ends up implicated in the whole aesthetic event for the viewer. It creates a kind of snow globe effect in my head as I'm walking out, leaving the man alone again with the Twombly paintings. Like he's on the moon or something - outside of time.Sorry for waxing poetical there toward the end. I'm a huge admirer of your work in general, but this one in particular, man... astounding.
